Congenital Heart Defects are very common and occurs in about 3-5% of infant births. This defect is considered to be the leading cause of infant mortality. Various factors like genetic and environmental factors affect the development of such anomalies like maternal illness, chromosomal abnormalities, etc. In certain cases, the cause or the factors are not determined.
